Very special release on Bosconi from soulboy Riccio just few months after his astonishing disco burner "Put The Man Out" on the Stallions Compilation and the acclaimed releases on Fly By Night and Slow Town.
This time our disco wizard delivers with the track Pretty Eyes, according to us, one of his best piece of music to date!
On the borders between 70s disco, hip hop memories and some detroitish deep house, the song is simply based on an ultra catchy sweet and sexy vocal theme plus Riccio's trademark gentle and chunky groove enriched by an excellent choice of 100% organic and cleverly sample based elements as the driving deep rhodes pads and the mesmerizing piano accents which are elevating the atmosphere to an irresistible sunshine mood!
...and who could have been the best man to revisit the original track if not the former Slum Village and one of the best Detroit House artist ever named as Andrés ?!
What to say...His remix gives a more straight up and raw feel to Riccio's version, his new huge added true sounding bass has a different and totally more pumping character and melody, his new dusty drums are gently banging and definitively making the remix more driving than the original, more loopy and hypnotic.
The record ends up with the twisted and disconnected hip hop of Just Clips who shows again Riccio's secret talent within more unconventional beats..
